Neurodiversity Coaching in York & Online.
Coaching can feel like an enigma — people throw the word around, but what does it actually look like in practice? For me, coaching is a safe, one‑to‑one space where you’re listened to, validated and encouraged.
Think of it as having a personal cheerleader who also brings expertise in neurodiversity, autism, ADHD and dyslexia.
As a visual thinker, I often describe coaching as writing your own brain manual. You’re the author — coaching simply helps you understand what works for you, what doesn’t, and how to navigate life with more confidence and self‑trust.
Why Choose Neurodiversity Coaching?
Whether you’re:
feeling isolated at work and unsure about adjustments
navigating a new diagnosis or still waiting for one
struggling with executive function (organisation, focus, planning)
anxious about upcoming changes or milestones
looking for someone who truly understands neurodivergence
Coaching offers practical strategies, wellbeing support and a safe space to explore your strengths.
It’s a space where you don’t have to work so hard to explain yourself — where you can show up as you are, at your own pace.
“Thank you so much for everything. You have taught me so much and I’m no longer quite as scared about the future.”
Benefits of coaching.
Increased energy and confidence
Reduced negative self-questioning
Tailored strategies for ADHD, autism and dyslexia
Guidance on requesting reasonable adjustments
Empowering conversations in a safe space
Greater ability to self‑advocate
Celebrating the amazingness of your neurodivergent brain
Coaching gives you space to understand yourself more deeply — and to build strategies that actually work for your life, not someone else’s.
Walking‑and‑talking sessions
In‑person meetings don’t have to be seated. I offer walking‑and‑talking sessions because, for many of us, it’s easier to concentrate when we’re moving. Walking side‑by‑side eases the awkwardness that eye contact can bring, lowers sensory load and supports ADHD movement needs.
These sessions are available in York and the surrounding areas.
Online coaching
Most of my coaching takes place online, which many clients find easier and more accessible. You get to be in your own environment, there’s no commute, and the timing is flexible — allowing for that all‑important downtime or processing time. You’re the boss of your sensory environment, and there’s no diary‑juggling stress.
My lived experience
I know from both professional and personal experience that being neurodivergent — in my case, an ADHDer and proud “dyslexia queen” — can be confusing, challenging, exhausting and occasionally hilarious. My own brain manual never quite matched what society expected, and it took time (plus plenty of trial and error) to build strategies that helped me regain energy, reduce masking and stop beating myself up over those “Homer Simpson doh!” moments.
Now, I own them — and I help others do the same through neurodiversity‑affirming coaching that’s grounded in lived experience, compassion and a very real understanding of ADHD, autism and dyslexia.
You deserve support from someone who understands the chaos, the brilliance and the humour that comes with a neurodivergent brain.
